Here are some of our favourite family-friendly things to do whilst on holiday in Noosa.
Hit The Beach
If you stay at Little Cove Court, not only do you stay in secluded apartments nestled within the rainforest, you’re also just moments from the pristine waters of Little Cove Beach – perfect for swimming, building sandcastles or surfing and bodyboarding.
If your kids want to try their hand at surfing, we recommend booking a private or group lesson with Noosa Learn to Surf, who hold surf lessons year-round at the Noosa Spit.
Explore The Noosa River
Noosa is also so much more than the beach, the Noosa River is beautiful and has a range of activities to explore. From Little Cove Beach, walk along the boardwalk to Hastings Street, where you will find the Noosa Ferry spot behind the Sofitel. Jump on the ferry and ride it all the way to the Noosa Marina, or hop on and off along the way and take in all of the sights.
One of our favourite family activities on the Noosa River is to stop at the Noosa Boathouse. Grab a $1 bag of fish food and enjoy feeding the fish in the clear water along the shoreline.
Discover The Eumundi Markets
If you’re feeling adventurous, why not catch the bus from Hastings Street, or take leisurely drive if you have a car, to the renowned Eumundi Markets. With a locally made policy, you’ll find unique gifts, art, jewellery, and delicious food as you stroll around the popular markets. There’s also a fun playground right next to the markets… to keep everyone entertained!
Rainy Day Fun
If it does rain on your Noosa getaway, a great way to keep young kids entertained is a trip to the Noosa Leisure Centre, open for play sessions for pre-school aged children every day of the week! They can jump, swing and climb in an air-conditioned and safe environment.
Family Friendly Dining
Our top picks for dining in Noosa with the family are Noosa Heads Surf Club, Betty’s Burgers, Someday’s Pizza and Flo’s Creperie. Of course, no family holiday is complete without ice-cream! Our favourite is Massimos on Hastings Street (conveniently located a short walk from Little Cove Court).
