Sunshine Beach – Noosa’s Best Kept Secret
If you want to take a day trip from Little Cove Beach but don’t want to travel too far, Sunshine Beach is the perfect destination.
Sitting on the south side of Noosa National Park, is one of Noosa’s best kept secrets. It’s a beautiful open beach that boasts stunning holiday homes with magnificent views, with a local, slow-paced vibe.
Surf Breaks
If you’re a keen surfer, Sunshine offers some great, less crowded banks. It’s also very close to some hidden breaks at Alexandra Bay (known to the locals as A Bay) and Granite Bay. You’ll find these secluded bays within Noosa National Park, which can be accessed on foot from Sunshine Beach.
The more athletic types will relish in the challenge of the Sunshine Beach stairs. The stairs can be accessed from the beach at the bottom of the Noosa National Park headland, they are steep and grueling, but the view at the top is well worth the effort.
Local Eats
Enjoy the local cafes and restaurants that Sunshine has to offer. For coffee and breakfast, we recommend you check out Jam Café. For dinner and drinks, you can’t go past Sum Yung Guys, the Sunshine Beach Surf Club, and Embassy XO.
Getting to Sunshine Beach
It is very easy to get to Sunshine Beach when you are staying at Little Cove Court.
If you have a car with you on holiday, it’s only a 10 minute drive away and there is plenty of car parks and street parking available. Alternatively you can take a bus into Sunshine Beach which would take approximately 25 minutes. If you would prefer to get an Uber, the cost would be approximately AUD$12-$15.
