Sunshine Beach
As you explore Noosa’s eastern beaches, the first is Sunshine Beach. This idyllic beach-side community, is just east of Noosa Heads.
Stop off here for a quick dip at the patrolled beach near the Surf Club, before brunch at one of the award-winning restaurants or popular cafes.
Relax and soak up the quiet, peaceful and laid back village atmosphere at the perfect, sea-side location.
At Sunshine Beach you can also enjoy access to the southern entrance to Noosa National Park.
Sunrise Beach
Just south of Sunshine Beach, you’ll find Sunrise Beach, a sleepy village blessed with direct access to the beach.
Likewise, the natural environment here has been carefully preserved with a wide swathe of coastal bushland reserve buffering the town and the beach.
For locals and visitors alike, Sunrise Beach is a popular spot for surfing, kite-surfing and fishing and is patrolled all year round.
Castaways Beach
It’s easy to imagine you’ve been castaway in paradise when you walk along the golden sands of Castaways Beach.
This quiet, peaceful, coastal town is sparsely populated and is completely immersed in nature and natural experiences.
The protected coastal dunes provide habitat for a plethora of native vegetation and wildlife.
Marcus Beach
Marcus Beach is likewise, a nature lover’s paradise.
At the main beach entry point, you’ll find the Marcus Beach Interpretive Walk. Learn about the geographic and high-conservation values of our fragile coastal dunes.
On the other side is the southern end of Noosa National Park, with walking trails including to beautiful Lake Weyba.
Peregian Beach
By now all the swimming and nature walks along Noosa’s eastern beaches will have built up your appetite.
Well that’s a good thing as you arrive at Peregian Beach. Here’s you’ll find a superb selection of restaurants and cafes in and around the green village centre.
The whole area is buffered on one side by the southern end of Noosa National Park the other by the golden sands of patrolled Peregian Beach itself.
As a result, you’ll simply love this leafy area, with generous parks, coastal bushland reserves and a kid’s skate-park and play areas.
For a quiet coastal town, Peregian Beach is a happening place. The Peregian Markets are held on the first and third Sunday of the month. The Peregian Originals show-case only original music on the second Sunday of each month.
Ideal day trip to Noosa’s eastern beaches
Noosa eastern beaches have extensive nature reserves and national park access, pristine surf beaches, superb dining and quant village communities. It’s a lovely coastal drive and an ideal day trip option from the resort.
