With serene water views over Lake Macdonald, the gardens offer the perfect environment for a picnic and to unwind. Or find a place to unwind on one of the many benches scattered throughout the gardens to experience the calm and serenity. The graded pathways make accessibility easy for everyone.

The Zen garden is an idyllic place to just be. It’s made up of three large rocks surrounded by mounds and planted with Zoysia and a stony creek bed, dividing two colour tones of pebbles. This represents Mt Cooroy, Mt Cooroora and Mt Cooran along with the hills, hinterland, beach and life-giving water ways.

Natural elements throughout the garden encourages children to touch and smell plants and flowers, offering kids the chance to explore natural play. The open lawns are a great place for children’s parties, fly a kite, kick a ball or to just laze around.

More fun can be had at the playground in Lake McDonald Park, as well as learning and exploring in the dinosaur dig and permaculture area. You can even bring your dog if they are kept on a leash.
